Rodney Venter
Chairman & CEO
Rodney is an accomplished entrepreneur and business leader with a global track record spanning multiple industries. He is the Founder, Chairman, and CEO of Synergyworx International Holdings, a company operating across six continents and 14 countries, with a project pipeline valued at USD 14.5 billion before the COVID-19 pandemic.
His career includes founding Stonehedge Property Group, a commercial real estate firm that brokered over ZAR 2.6 billion in sales, and Hymax SA, a telecommunications distributor with 54 branches and annual turnover of ZAR 650 million. He also co-founded Teleboss SA, achieving a 68% market share in telecoms and leading the company to a successful public listing.
With over three decades of experience, Rodney has built a legacy of driving growth, innovation, and large-scale project success globally.

Hugh Born
CEO Project Financial Development Management (PFDM)
Hugh Born is a seasoned project manager with a remarkable track record of delivering large-scale, high-value projects on time and within budget. From 2007 to 2010, he successfully led the US$1 billion greenfield Rosslyn Brewery project, the largest brewery in the southern hemisphere, collaborating with international and local design, construction, and commissioning teams. He followed this with the Garankua Brewery project, a US$150 million venture completed between 2010 and 2012.
Between 2012 and 2015, Hugh established and managed a joint venture between COFCO and Coca-Cola, overseeing the creation of 14 Sales and Distribution centers and the construction of two mega Coca-Cola bottling plants in China. From 2015 to 2017, he managed the design, construction, and operations of multi-country supply chain infrastructure, including a Juice Manufacturing Plant and an aluminum Can Making Plant in Iran.
Currently, Hugh is involved in multi-project due diligence activities for Synergyworx International Holdings, managing international professional teams over the last eight years, with interruptions due to the pandemic. His career reflects exceptional leadership and expertise in delivering complex projects across industries and regions.
Lyn Born
Chief Financial Officer
Lyn Born is an accomplished accounting professional with extensive international experience in providing specialized financial solutions. Since 2017, she has been leading Lyn Born Accounting Services, catering to the accounting needs of SMEs. Prior to this, Lyn consulted on high-value projects, including the US $500 million World Bank/GE-funded Uch Power Plant in Pakistan (2010–2017), implementing AccPac Sage 300 ERP systems to optimize accounting workflows.
From 2002 to 2010, she extended her expertise across multiple countries in Africa, streamlining financial processes for several milling companies in Swaziland, Botswana, Namibia, and Mozambique. Earlier in her career, Lyn managed operations and internal accounting for Deloitte and Touche Botswana (1998–2002). Gavin Kaye
CEO, Synergyworx

Gavin joined us in 2017. He is a highly experienced Chartered Accountant and accomplished executive, having held key leadership roles as CEO, COO, and CFO throughout his career. From 2014 to 2025, he operated a corporate finance business specializing in diverse sectors, including healthcare and hospitality, driving both organic growth and acquisitions.
Since 2016, Gavin has provided consultancy services in Mauritius, focusing on the establishment and management of Global Business Companies and Protected Cell Companies within the offshore sector. Currently, he serves as CFO for Mauritius's largest non-food retailer and holds a non-executive director position at a regulated investment bank and corporate finance company. His career reflects a strong commitment to strategic financial management and operational excellence.

Glen Ramsay
Director Special Projects
Joined in November 2024, Glen is a versatile professional with expertise in business development and project management. From 2010 to 2012, he expanded indirect sales channels for Concord ICT, overseeing the installation and maintenance of AVAYA, LG, and Samsung equipment. This success culminated in him becoming the company's owner after four years.
Since 2012, Glen has managed significant medical facility projects, including the development of Morrow Street Clinic from a greenfield site to a fully operational facility with a GP practice, dentist practice, and emergency treatment room—all delivered on time and within budget. Additionally, he led the complete refurbishment and upgrade of Meadowbank Medical Centre, including infrastructure improvements, IT systems, and facility enhancements. Glen's career demonstrates a strong commitment to excellence and delivering impactful results.
